Known as the cultural heart of Newport, Nye Beach has one of our best beach accesses and has been unique to our town for more than a century. Here you’ll find a little artistic coastal district with gift shops, galleries, coffee houses, wine bars, and whimsical sidewalk dining spots. Nestled in between all these quaint boutiques and eateries, you’ll find plenty of culture and literature at places like Oregon Coast Council for the Arts, Yaquina Art Association, Newport’s Performing Arts and Visual Arts Centers. Visitors will be busy tide-pooling, beachcombing, surfing, sail-boarding, crabbing, clam digging, kite flying, photographing, and sunset painting or, doing anything artistic you can imagine. Did we mention, Nye Beach has the cutest beach cottages and coastal houses dispersed throughout the district! Such a vibe.
